(3) When the POM material is injected, the holding pressure must be high (similar to the injection pressure) to reduce the pressure drop, the screw speed should not be too high, and the residual quantity should be less;
(4) POM products have a greater degree of shrinkage and are prone to shrinkage or deformation. POM is more heat and has a high mold temperature (80 to 100 ° C). The product is very hot when it is released from the mold. It is necessary to prevent finger burns.
(5) POM should be formed under conditions of “medium pressure, medium speed, low material temperature and high mold temperature,” and the mold temperature should be controlled during the molding of precision products.

Overall performance
POM is a solid, dense material with a smooth shiny surface, light yellow or white, and the thin-walled part is translucent. The burning characteristics burn easily and continue to burn after a fire: the upper end of the flame is yellow, the lower blue, fused and dripping, as well as the strong irritating smell of formaldehyde and the smell of fish. POM is a white powder, usually opaque, good dyeing, specific gravity 1.41-1.43 g / cm3, molding shrinkage 1.2-3.0%, molding temperature 170-200 ° C, drying conditions 80-90 ° C 2 hours. The long-term POM heat resistance is not high, but in the short term it can reach 160 ° C. The short-term POM heat resistance of homopolymerized POM is above 10 ° C, but the long-term heat resistance of copolymerized POM is about 10 ° C higher than that of homopolymerized POM. It can be used for a long time in the temperature range from -40 ° C to 100 ° C. POM easily decomposes and has a decomposition temperature of 240 degrees. Irritant and corrosive gases occur during decomposition, therefore, the casting steel must be made of corrosion-resistant materials.

Mechanical properties
POM has high strength, high rigidity, good elasticity and good wear resistance. Its mechanical properties are excellent, the specific strength can reach 50.5 MPa, the specific rigidity can reach 2650 MPa, and it is very close to the metal. The mechanical properties of POM vary little with temperature, and copolymerized POM varies slightly more than homopolymerized POM. The POM impact strength is higher, but the usual impact load is less than that of ABS and PC, POM is tear-sensitive, and the break can reduce the impact strength by as much as 90%. POM fatigue strength is very noticeable: after 10 alternating loads, fatigue strength can reach 35 MPa, while PA and PC are only 28 MPa. The creep of POM is similar to the creep of POM, which is only 2.3% at 20 ° C, 21 MPa and 3000 hours, and temperature has little effect on it. POM has a low friction coefficient and good wear resistance (POM> PA66> PA6> ABS> HPVC> PS> PC), the PV limit is large, and the self lubrication property is good. POM products are subject to noise-like noise under high loads.
